Latry is an elf who reincarnates into the body of Langris Vaude, the vice-captain of the Golden Dawn. Upon awakening, he takes complete control of Langris's Spatial Magic, amplifying it with the immense mana reserves of an elf. He immediately attacks the Royal Capital, breaking into the King's bedroom with the intent to kill Augustus Kira Clover XIII.

He is confronted by Yami Sukehiro and Finral Roulacase. Latry fights with arrogance, using his automatic defensive magic to erase any attacks that come near him. He brutally tortures Finral, mocking the human's weak magic while overpowering him. However, Yami steps in and counters Latry's spatial abilities with Dark Magic.

The battle ends when Yami lands a decisive slash, knocking Latry unconscious. Later, Asta uses the Demon-Destroyer Sword to sever the reincarnation spell's connection. This expels Latry’s spirit from the body, allowing the real Langris to regain consciousness and return to normal.
