The Fake Hikage appears during the Asakusa arc as an impostor disguised as one of the twin mascots of Special Fire Force Company 7. This entity is not a separate individual but a construct created by the White-Clad member Yona, who utilizes his shapeshifting ignition ability to mimic the physical appearance of the real Hikage. The appearance of this impostor serves as a tactical move to disrupt the alliance negotiations between Company 8 and Company 7.

During the incident, the Fake Hikage operates within the Asakusa district to manufacture a conflict. The impostor engages in violent behavior and attacks local residents to frame the members of Company 8 for the disorder. By impersonating a trusted member of Company 7, the fake entity successfully leads Benimaru Shinmon to believe that Company 8 is hostile, resulting in a temporary confrontation between the two Fire Force captains.

The deception is exposed when the real Hikage and Hinata arrive on the scene to confront the impostor. The simultaneous presence of the identical figures allows the other characters to distinguish the fake from the original. Upon being identified, the impostor abandons the Hikage disguise, revealing Yona underneath, which ends the confusion regarding the source of the attacks in Asakusa.
