Charanko is a disciple at Bang's dojo — messy, light-colored hair, a white gi, and a muscular build that, notably, doesn't translate into actual fighting strength. He's loud and boastful, quick to challenge Saitama and Genos for showing what he sees as disrespect toward his master's martial art, all without knowing anything about their real ability, and eager to rattle off Bang's credentials and hero rank the moment anyone questions him — right up until Bang himself shuts him down.
His pride runs deeper than simple bragging, though: when he learns why Bang expelled his former fellow disciple Garou, Charanko chooses to ignore the warning and instead holds onto a sense of martial honor toward the dojos Garou later destroys, treating the damage to their shared discipline as a personal wound.
A young man of average height and unremarkable build, with a rounded light-colored bowl-cut, small dot-like eyes, and a generally plain, anxious expression. Wears a traditional white martial arts gi with a black belt.
Defined by absolute, unconditional loyalty to Bang — he’s the only student who didn’t flee after Garou wrecked the dojo’s roster. Fiercely proud of his school’s honor despite having little talent to back it up, prone to whining about his injuries, and humble enough to know exactly where he stands next to real heroes.
Trained under Bang for at least six months without mastering even the basics of Bang’s style. Became the dojo’s senior-most student purely by default, since everyone else quit.
Bang expels him from the dojo to keep him safe from Garou — but Charanko refuses to accept that and goes looking for Garou to defend the school’s honor anyway, and is instantly, brutally beaten, ending up hospitalized with multiple broken bones. While recovering, he gives Saitama (who’s curious about martial arts) his own Super Fight tournament ticket, letting Saitama compete disguised as "Charanko" and unknowingly win the tournament under his name. After the Monster Association war, he stays on to help Bang manage a sudden influx of fans now worshipping the old master as a "Superman."
Knows the theoretical forms of the Fist of Flowing Water, Crushing Rock, but lacks the physical talent to execute them — Bang has bluntly stated he’s learned virtually nothing in months of training. Physical conditioning above a normal civilian, but well below even a Class C hero.

Saitama’s tournament disguise as "Charanko" was so convincing that even organizers didn’t catch the switch until a post-match investigation. Effectively becomes the dojo’s de facto administrative manager by the end of the war, since he’s the only student left.
