Dr. Genus is a world-renowned scientist and the founder of the now-defunct House of Evolution, a genetic engineering organization built around a single conviction: that society must evolve, and if it won't do so on its own, he will force it to. Gifted with extraordinary intelligence from a young age, he grew disillusioned with humanity early on and channeled that disillusionment into genetic research most scientists wouldn't attempt.
Despite his advanced age, he appears youthful — sharp-featured, blue-eyed, with black hair parted to the right and rectangular glasses — a side effect of experimenting on his own genetics. His House of Evolution facility was staffed largely by his own clones and produced some of the series' most dangerous early creations, including Beast King and Carnage Kabuto, cementing his reputation as a brilliant but deeply dangerous visionary.
