Dordonii intercepts Ichigo Kurosaki and Nel in the corridors of Las Noches, introducing himself as Privaron Espada 103. A former member of the elite Espada who was demoted, Dordonii is desperate to regain his status. He sees Ichigo as his ticket back to power, believing that if he defeats a Bankai user, Aizen will restore his rank.

During their duel, Dordonii releases his Zanpakuto, "Giralda," creating massive cyclones of wind shaped like bird heads on his legs. He dominates the early fight, easily kicking Ichigo through walls. Frustrated that Ichigo is holding back, Dordonii attacks Nel to force Ichigo’s hand, demanding to see the "Devil" power he sensed earlier.

Ichigo finally responds by activating his Bankai and Hollow Mask. Dordonii is defeated in a single strike, but he smiles, satisfied to have witnessed true power. When the Exequias (execution squad) arrive to finish him off, Dordonii stands his ground to fight them alone. He sacrifices his life to hold them back, allowing Ichigo to escape and continue forward.
