Kombu Infinity is a Mysterious Being that came to Z-City after hearing rumors of powerful creatures living there. It has the silhouette of a young person, with large round eyes and a mouth missing several teeth, and an androgynous look offset by a distinctly female voice; in place of hair, an endless growth of steel-strong, steel-durable seaweed-like tentacles extends from its head, usable as both a whip and a shield.
Faster than an average human — quick enough to deflect a shot from Golden Ball and dodge a thrust from Spring Mustachio — Kombu Infinity easily defeats both A-Class heroes before Saitama shows up in a tracksuit, grocery bag in hand, having just remembered he forgot to buy kombu soup stock. The fight lasts about one second: Saitama tears the seaweed-like growth straight off Kombu Infinity's body and repurposes it as that night's dinner ingredient.
A humanoid shrouded almost entirely in dense, wavy, steel-hard black tentacles resembling kombu (sea kelp), with large glowing white eyes and a wide, sharp-toothed mouth. Stripped of its kelp, it’s revealed to be a pale, frail-looking creature underneath.
Arrogant and bloodthirsty, actively trying to live up to City Z’s Ghost Town rumors by becoming the fearsome monster those rumors described. Severely overconfident — enough to attack Saitama without a second thought — and reduced to pure terror once outmatched.
Drawn to City Z’s abandoned Ghost Town district by rumors of powerful monsters gathering there; finding none, it decided to become that very monster itself.
Ambushes and defeats Class A heroes Golden Ball and Spring Mustachio in a narrow alley, deflecting Golden Ball’s ammunition and withstanding Spring Mustachio’s piercing "Tomboy" technique before skewering both. Shortly after, it spots Saitama walking home with groceries and attacks him too — only for Saitama, annoyed at having forgotten kelp for his soup, to pluck every strand of its hair off. It survives, fleeing bald and in tears; Saitama boils the harvested tentacles for dinner. The Hero Association never finds a body, and comes to believe an even greater unseen threat is patrolling the district.
Steel-hard, highly elastic kelp tentacles used for deflecting projectiles, striking from multiple angles, and skewering opponents at range; fast enough to track and dodge Spring Mustachio’s fastest thrust. Entirely dependent on that kelp — stripped of it, it’s helpless.

The two heroes tried to suppress it with long-range fire and precision fencing. It just deflected everything with its hair and counter-stabbed both of them into the hospital — proof this thing outclassed elite Class A heroes.
