The Man With Parted Hair is an unnamed citizen of the Sphere who appears in the opening chapter of the series. He functions as the primary accuser during the inciting incident that leads to Rudo's arrest. He is depicted as a typical resident of the wealthy district, adhering to the societal norms that view Rudo and his foster father, Regto, with suspicion due to their lower social standing.

He enters the narrative when he discovers the body of Regto in an alleyway. Upon finding Rudo standing near the corpse, the Man With Parted Hair immediately assumes Rudo's guilt without seeking evidence. He raises the alarm, attracting the attention of the authorities and the surrounding crowd, effectively framing the scene as a murder committed by the "descendant of a killer."

Following Rudo's seizure by the authorities and subsequent fall into the Abyss, the Man With Parted Hair does not reappear in the story. His role is strictly limited to setting the plot in motion, transitioning the setting from the Sphere to the Lower World by facilitating the protagonist's wrongful conviction.
