Pig God is an S-Class hero introduced at a Hero Association meeting eating hamburgers — a fitting first impression for a character rarely seen without food in hand. He's a morbidly obese man with short black hair and prominent lips, usually dressed in a black shirt over a white undershirt printed with "DEV," later swapped for one reading "BUTA" (Japanese for "pig").
His power comes directly from his mass: he's said to have once eaten 50 Seafolk without a trace, shrugged off repeated venomous bites from the monster Eyesight's snakes before eating it in turn, and shares the same fat-based defensive ability as Food Battler Futoshi — both heroes become dangerously thin if they burn through that stored power in an intense fight, as Pig God does during the Monster Association raid, emerging drastically slimmed down with visible eyebags. Quiet and speaking only when necessary, he lets his actions do the talking, and is shown to be genuinely caring underneath the odd presentation.
A colossal, extremely obese man with multiple chin folds and short dark hair, with small eyes that sharpen with focus when eating or fighting. Despite his bulk, he shows surprising agility and speed when motivated.
His hero attire is an oversized dark t-shirt (the printed lettering across the chest changes between panels — sometimes reading “EV,” “DE,” “UT,” or “BUT” depending on the angle) paired with light trousers. While recovering in the hospital, he wears a large toga-like robe. During intense combat or healing, his body visibly “thins out” as he burns through fat reserves to accelerate his metabolism.
Stoic and Focused
Polite and rarely without food in hand, yet never distracted from duty by his own hunger.
Profoundly Selfless
Views his own body as a tool for preserving others’ lives, routinely putting himself in danger to act as a living shield or transport for wounded allies.
Quietly Preparing for the Worst
Believes in seer Shibabawa’s prophecy of a coming world-ending disaster, and deliberately holds back a hidden "ultimate" power until that "prophesied time" arrives.
A Practical Flaw
His sheer size occasionally gets him physically stuck in tight spaces, requiring help from other heroes to get free.
Origins and family are unstated. Rose through the Hero Association to the top tier of S-Class, and was already a consistent responder to high-level threats by the time of the Alien Invasion, attending the Class S emergency briefing at Hero Association HQ in City A.
Alien Invasion Arc
Attends the Class S emergency meeting in City A and remains with the core S-Class group to respond to the Dark Matter Thieves’ invasion.
Monster Association War
Crashes through a structural wall to rescue Child Emperor from the gorgon-like monster Medusa (Eyesore), swallowing her whole and shrugging off her lethal venom — he simply notes he "felt better" and his stomach "still has room." Deep in the labyrinth, he faces off against the Monster Association executive Gums in a mutual eating duel; Gums manages to partially swallow him before the fight is interrupted by the shifting battlefield. As the base collapses, he uses his own body as a living safe room, swallowing Zombieman and Atomic Samurai’s three disciples (Iaian, Okamaitachi, Bushi Drill) to shield them from debris and toxic hazards, later safely bringing them back up, brushing off their gratitude since "you gathered everyone in one place."
Post-War Eradication
Despite severe radiation exposure and internal injuries, escapes his hospital bed over "unfinished business," tracks down the remaining liquid core of the Dragon-level Evil Mineral Water in the ruins of City Z, and swallows it whole to permanently contain the threat.
Tactical Devouring
Can expand his mouth and throat to swallow objects and monsters many times his own size.
Digestive Immunity
Stomach acid and enzymes powerful enough to dissolve monsters almost instantly; immune to most biological poisons and toxins.
Accelerated Metabolism
Can manually speed up his metabolism to heal from lethal wounds, rapidly burning through his fat reserves to do so.
Fat Defense
His layers of fat function as natural armor — he’s noted it was a "miracle" that an enemy’s claws only ever reached his fat folds rather than vital organs.
Secret Power
Possesses a hidden "ultimate ability" deliberately held in reserve for the "prophesied time" of the world’s end — never shown on-page.
Also notably sharp despite his brawler image: highly observant, providing logistical support to the Association and spotting enemy remnants his peers missed.
Major: Ch. 68, 107, 125, 141, 143, 144, 150, 170.
Minor: Ch. 32, 43, 91, 93, 151, 153, 172.
Mentioned only: Ch. 122, 191, 232.
Child Emperor
Acts as a primary protector for the young hero, having saved him from Medusa. Child Emperor showed genuine concern for Pig God’s safety around the monster’s venom, though Pig God brushed it off.
Atomic Samurai’s Disciples (Iaian, Bushi Drill, Okamaitachi)
Saved all three by swallowing them during the base collapse. Iaian is described as "deeply grateful" — Pig God even retrieved Iaian’s severed arm from the battlefield afterward in case it could be reattached.
Zombieman
Carried the heavily wounded Zombieman inside his own stomach to get him to safety during the surface battle.
Gums
An antagonistic Monster Association executive who shares his "devourer" archetype — their duel ends in a partial stalemate when Gums manages to consume part of him before the fight is interrupted.
Captain Mizuki
Helped free him when he got physically stuck in a building, though his sheer weight made it a struggle even for her.
Food Tub ("Great Philosopher")
A hero who tried to analyze whether Pig God’s eating actually boosted his strength (Pig God’s answer: he just gets hungry). Later tried, unsuccessfully, to stop Pig God from leaving his hospital bed to finish off Evil Mineral Water.
Tanktop Master
Respected as a fellow "tank" hero — Pig God noted his joining the surface fight significantly improved their odds.
Hero Association / Sekingar
A loyal S-Class member overall, though he ignored executive Sekingar’s direct order to stay in his hospital bed, prioritizing finishing off the last of the Monster Association threat instead.
“No... this isn’t the prophesied time. I should save my strength for the end.”
“It was easy because you gathered everyone in one place.” — after rescuing Atomic Samurai’s disciples
“Nah, I just got hungry.” — when asked if eating increases his strength
“My special constitution rapidly converts nutrition into fat for burning. I can speed up my metabolism to heal faster...”
The lettering on his shirt changes between "EV," "DE," "UT," and "BUT" depending on the panel/angle — likely just an art inconsistency rather than an intentional detail. His resistance to radiation that sickened other S-Class heroes is attributed to his unique cellular biology. He’s the heaviest member of S-Class by a wide margin — heavy enough that even a hero as strong as Captain Mizuki struggles to physically move him when he’s wedged into a structure.
