Shinya Momoiwa is a high-ranking combatant trained from childhood to exterminate the Oni. He follows the strict doctrine of the Momotaro agency, believing the enemy race is inherently evil and deserving of death. He maintains a cold and distant attitude toward his peers, focusing solely on honing his skills and completing assigned missions without failure.

In battle, he combines expert swordsmanship with the ability to manipulate lethal bacteria. He coats his blade in these microorganisms to inflict necrosis on his targets, bypassing their natural durability. His fighting style emphasizes speed and technical precision, allowing him to disable opponents quickly by striking vital areas with his infected weapon.

Mikado Momodera is his adoptive father and commanding officer, who raised him specifically to become a weapon against the Oni. Shinya obeys Mikado's orders without question until he discovers that his friend, Shiki Ichinose, is an Oni.
