The Tomato Devil looks like a giant, spherical red tomato equipped with multiple eyes, a mouth, and several vine-like limbs. It lives in urban areas and poses a low-level threat to civilians and property. It creates copies of itself using seeds scattered from its body, forcing hunters to locate and burn every single seed to ensure the creature stays dead.

It relies on its heavy, round body to crush obstacles and uses its vines to whip at attackers. Despite its intimidating size, it lacks significant speed or durability, making it an easy target for registered devil hunters. It attempts to overwhelm opponents with biological regeneration rather than offensive power.

Denji hunts this devil alongside his pet Pochita during a routine job for the Yakuza. He kills the creature to pay off a fraction of his massive debt, earning a meager sum for the extermination. The carcass creates a mess on the street, illustrating the dirty and low-paying nature of unauthorized devil hunting work.
