20th seat of the 9th Division (position he shares with 15 other Shinigami).

He is a lecherous leader of a squad trying to find the intruders in Soul Society. He unwittingly allows two of the intruders, Orihime Inoue and Uryū Ishida, to get away with posing as Shinigami in his squad. He tries to hit on Orihime, but stops when Uryū reminds him of his mission to capture the intruders. Toshimori, angered for being stopped by an unseated officer, threatens Uryū when another Shinigami of his squad calls for him. Instead of continuing with his threat, Toshimori tell Uryū he will finish this later, and then continues the search for the intruders. This will not happen as Uryū says that he and the others will be gone long before that could happen.
