He functions as a minor but pivotal antagonist responsible for purchasing Amo from her original community and utilizing her as a tool for theft and reconnaissance. His group is characterized by their exploitation of children and reliance on violence to maintain order within their ranks.

During his time with Amo, the Trafficker controls her through conditioning and physical punishment, forbidding her from expressing personal desires or emotions. He exploits her awakening to a Jinki—a pair of winged boots—forcing her to use its mobility to steal resources for the group. His management of her abilities is strictly utilitarian, treating her worth solely based on the profit her Jinki generates.

The Trafficker's role concludes violently when his group is ambushed by a rival gang. During the chaos, he attempts to coerce Amo into action using standard intimidation tactics. However, the accumulation of psychological stress causes Amo to snap, resulting in her slaughtering both the rival gang and the Trafficker's own group. His death marks the catalyst for Amo's fractured psyche and her eventual transition into a Vandal.

While he does not reappear in the present timeline, his actions establish the foundational trauma of Amo's character. He serves as a narrative device to illustrate the harsh, transactional nature of survival in the Lower World and provides the context for Amo's obsession with "genuine" connections versus transactional relationships.
