Zombieman

Tall and slender with pale, greyish skin, short dark-cropped hair, and sharp, tired-looking eyes, almost always with a cigarette in his mouth. Wears a tattered light-grey trench coat over dark clothes with weapon holsters strapped across his torso and back. Frequently seen mid-combat covered in wounds that visibly heal in real time.

Stoic, patient, and highly observant, with a grim willingness to endure hours of pain to secure a win. Somewhat cynical and prone to isolation, preferring to work alone since he considers himself fundamentally "different" from normal humans. Values quality information over quantity, and has no patience for peers who dismiss long briefings.

Created by Dr. Genus at the House of Evolution as "Sample 66," an experiment in immortality, subjected to countless lethal tests until he manifested a self-evolving regenerative core. Escaped the facility roughly ten years before the main story and became a professional hero instead of pursuing revenge, rising to the top of Class S using his investigative skills to hunt down remnants of his creator’s organization.

During the Monster Association raid, fights the "true" vampire Pureblood in a grueling 30-minute battle, dying and regenerating over 200 times before finally outlasting the monster’s stamina. Later intercepted by the executive Homeless Emperor, who incinerates him with divine energy blasts down to a charred husk — he survives long enough to be carried to safety inside Pig God, then later pins Homeless Emperor down for interrogation. Collapses along with much of the strike team when exposed to Garou’s lethal radiation during his Cosmic Fear transformation. After the war, tracks down Dr. Genus at his takoyaki stand to interrogate him about Saitama’s power, learns the "Limiter" theory, and demands Genus help remove his own Limiter too.

Infinite Regeneration: recovers from decapitation, incineration, and destroyed organs. Enhanced Physicality: superhuman speed and enough strength to bend steel, though not top-tier by S-Class standards. Weaponry: dual large-caliber handguns, a tactical axe, and a machete for dicing regenerative enemies. Tactical Intelligence: a master investigator able to piece together conspiracies from small clues. Weakness: regeneration takes real time — sustained incineration or containment can temporarily neutralize him.

vs. Pureblood — Ch. 102–105

A high-speed battle against a monster with serious regeneration and speed of its own. Thirty minutes and hundreds of deaths later, Pureblood's stamina finally gave out — a textbook example of Zombieman's win-through-attrition style.

vs. Homeless Emperor — Ch. 111–114

Bombarded from a distance with rapid-fire energy orbs. Physically destroyed, but survived long enough to see exactly what the monster's power source really was — the first real look at the threat level behind "God-given" power.

vs. Garou — Ch. 166

Caught in the radiation of Cosmic Fear Garou. His regeneration couldn't keep up with cellular breakdown happening at the subatomic level — incapacitated.

Genos & Flashy Flash: fellow briefing attendees on the "God" investigation. Pig God: owes his survival during the base collapse to being swallowed and carried to safety by him.
