Naruto All Tailed Beasts and Their Jinchūriki (Updated 2026)

Tailed Beasts, also known as Bijuu, are powerful chakra entities that exist at the core of the Naruto and Boruto world. They were originally formed from the Ten-Tails by Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki, who divided its immense power into nine separate beings. Over time, these beasts were captured and sealed into humans, creating jinchūriki—individuals used as living weapons by different villages. Each tailed beast has its own personality, abilities, and history shaped by war, control, and survival. As the story progresses into the Boruto era, their role changes significantly, with most of them now living freely instead of being controlled, marking a major shift in the shinobi world.

Years later, the Sand Village sealed Shukaku into Gaara to use him as a weapon, but the process left Gaara mentally unstable due to isolation. During the Akatsuki era, Shukaku was extracted after Gaara was defeated. After the Fourth Great Ninja War, it was freed and now lives independently in the Boruto era.
