Bobby Funk is a hitman from the Mogaro Kingdom who was introduced during the Dressrosa arc. Despite his massive, muscular frame and intimidating appearance, he is actually a gentle soul who dislikes violence and refuses to fight on his own. He operates as a team with his older brother, Kelly Funk, serving as the brawn to his brother's aggression.

During the tournament for the Mera Mera no Mi at the Corrida Colosseum, Bobby competed in Block C. His primary function in combat is to serve as a living vessel for Kelly, who uses the Jake Jake no Mi (Jacket-Jacket Fruit) to turn into a jacket and "wear" Bobby. This combination merges Bobby's incredible natural durability and strength with Kelly's ruthlessness. While this tactic allowed them to defeat the Happo Navy officer Boo, they were eventually taken down by Don Sai.

Unlike many of the other gladiators who fought in the colosseum, Bobby and his brother did not join the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. During the chaos of the Birdcage, the Funk brothers attempted to betray Luffy's alliance by leading the other fighters into a trap to appease Doflamingo. The plan backfired instantly when Doflamingo (via a string clone) attacked them for their trouble. They were left defeated in the palace and have not been seen in the series since the conclusion of the Dressrosa arc.
