Ginko is one of the children kidnapped by Caesar Clown and brought to the research facility on Punk Hazard. Like the other children, she was taken from her family under the false pretense of receiving medical treatment for a fake illness. In reality, she was subjected to Caesar's "Gigantification" experiments, which caused her to grow to an abnormal size.

She is the first child to befriend Momonosuke after he arrives on the island. When Momonosuke refuses to eat the candy laced with the addictive drug NHC10, Ginko tries to comfort him. She follows him into the "Secret Room" of the facility, where she witnesses him eating Vegapunk's artificial Devil Fruit out of hunger.

Inside the secret room, she listens as Momonosuke finally opens up about his past and his desire to go home. Ginko empathizes with him, admitting that all the children miss their parents too, but encourages him to stay strong. She is later rescued by the Straw Hat Pirates along with the other giant children and taken to the G-5 Marines to be cured of her addiction and returned home.
