Blue Fire

ブルーファイア

Supporting One Punch Man

Blue Fire is an A-Class hero with short black hair, dark eyes, and a dark blue kung-fu suit trimmed in white. The Hero Association's own strategist Sitch rates his combat power as on par with S-Class, placing him alongside Heavy Tank Fundoshi and Magic Trick Man among the strongest fighters A-Class has to offer.

Serious and strict, especially toward criminals, Blue Fire shows no hesitation about using his fire abilities to permanently deal with anyone he judges genuinely dangerous — a ruthless streak that coexists with real personal honor, which his hero name is meant to reflect. He's dispatched to Z-City after Golden Ball and Spring Mustachio's defeat, and later steps in when Garou goes on a rampage following his beatdown of Magic Trick Man and Heavy Tank Loincloth; Garou dodges Blue Fire's attempt to cremate him and tears off his forearm, knocking him out cold.

A young, lean, athletic man with short dark spiky hair and sharp features, wearing a dark high-collared jacket resembling a gakuran or martial arts tunic. After his fight with Garou, he loses his right arm and is subsequently shown with a bandaged stump or empty sleeve.

Confident, aggressive, and uncompromising toward anyone he perceives as evil, with a strict sense of justice sharp enough to call Garou “scum” for claiming to be a monster despite being human. Not without nuance, though — during the Amai Mask exposure, he stays calm and objective even as the crowd turns bloodthirsty, acknowledging Amai Mask’s past heroism.

Rose to Class A Rank 6, placing him just below Atomic Samurai’s top disciples and Rank 1 Amai Mask. Trusted with security for the Hero Association executive board during a high-risk meeting with recruited criminals.

Guards Sitch and the executives during the criminal-recruitment meeting Garou crashes; he steps up to confront Garou directly, but Garou’s speed lets him bypass Blue Fire’s flames entirely and sever his right arm before the technique can land. Recovers in the hospital alongside fellow victims Magicman and Heavy Tank Loincloth. Reappears much later in the crowd during Amai Mask’s public exposure as a monster, balancing on people’s heads for a better view and visibly conflicted about the mob’s bloodlust.

Pyrokinesis: generates and projects intense flames from his hands/sleeves. Combat reflexes and physical stats well above standard humans and lower-ranked heroes. Completely outmatched by Garou’s speed and precision before he could even bring his fire to bear.

vs. Garou — Ch. 40

Tried to incinerate Garou during the villain recruitment meeting. Total defeat — Garou severed his arm and took out the other guards in seconds, marking the official start of the Hero Hunt and the first serious injury Garou ever inflicted on the Association's elite.

Major: "Punch" 40, 212. Minor: "Punch" 41. Mentioned only: "Punch" 38.

Magicman & Heavy Tank Loincloth: peers and frequent security teammates, hospitalized together after Garou. Garou: the enemy responsible for his permanent disability. Amai Mask: a hero he respects professionally despite public sentiment turning against him. Sitch: the executive he was assigned to protect.

“I’ll burn them to cinders at the slightest move.”
“A human who calls himself a monster? You fool! But it’s true you aren’t human. You’re scum! I, Blue Fire, Class A, Rank 6... will cremate you!”

Unlike many minor heroes maimed in the series, he keeps appearing afterward, suggesting he remains active in the hero community despite the injury.
