Bonk Punch is a senior officer and the musician of the Red Hair Pirates, led by Shanks. He is almost always seen with his inseparable partner, a monkey named Monster. The two function as a combat unit; while Monster is agile and distracting, Bonk Punch serves as the powerhouse, delivering devastating physical blows to opponents. He is one of the crew's original members, having been present in Foosha Village when Luffy was a child.

For the majority of the series, his role has been largely supportive, appearing alongside the other officers during pivotal moments like the end of the Marineford War. While he rarely speaks, his position within an Emperor's crew indicates he is a formidable fighter. Supplementary material reveals that he and Monster coordinate their attacks perfectly, with the monkey disrupting the enemy's rhythm to create openings for Bonk Punch’s heavy hits.

Most recently, Bonk Punch was seen on the island of Elbaf. When the Kid Pirates attempted to challenge the Red Hair fleet, he stood ready for battle alongside his crewmates. After Shanks decimated Eustass Kid with a single attack, Bonk Punch and the other officers watched as the giants Dorry and Brogy sank the enemy ship. He remains active with the crew as they move to claim the One Piece.
