Carnage Kabuto is the strongest creation to come out of Dr. Genus's House of Evolution by a wide margin — a towering, humanoid being modeled on a rhinoceros beetle, with a thick exoskeleton, elytra-covered wings, and a large horn. In his Carnage Mode transformation, he grows even larger and more dangerous: his teeth sharpen, his eyes turn red, his body bulks up further, and his horn sharpens to a killing point.
Brilliant but violently unstable, Carnage Kabuto had to be kept caged even by his own creators — left unchecked, his bloodlust drove him to kill anything that came near, and he considers himself a superior "new human" that the rest of humanity should bow to. He's the one who hands Genos his first real, humiliating defeat during the raid on the House of Evolution, before Saitama finishes him off.
A gargantuan humanoid rhinoceros beetle several meters tall, covered in thick olive-green and brown chitin plating, with a massive single forehead horn, four clawed arms, a wide shark-like mouth, and glowing yellow eyes. In “Carnage Mode,” his muscles double in size, his chitin darkens to purple-black, and his eyes glow blood-red.
Extremely arrogant, cruel, and unpredictable, viewing all humans (including his own creator) as inferior “commoners.” Genuinely intelligent, articulate, and self-aware about his own biology — and uniquely, the only monster with instincts sharp enough to sense Saitama’s true danger before a single blow is thrown.
The pinnacle of Dr. Genus’s genetic engineering — matchless muscle and a brain beyond human limits, undercut by a violent, unstable temperament so severe Genus had to keep him locked in a high-security containment cell.
Released as Dr. Genus’s final resort against the infiltrating Saitama and Genos, he casually swats Genos aside, "hanging him up like modern art." Confronting Saitama, his instincts scream danger and he actually backs off in terror — until Saitama’s answer about his simple 100-push-ups training regimen enrages him into activating Carnage Mode, vowing a week-long rampage. He pummels Saitama across the arena to no effect; distracted by the realization he’s about to miss a Saturday grocery sale, Saitama ends the fight with a single punch that obliterates his upper body.
Physicality outclassing even advanced S-Class-tier tech, precognitive danger-sensing, wind pressure strong enough to reflect Genos’s Incineration Cannons just by breathing, and superhuman intelligence undercut by his own temper. Carnage Mode maxes out his stats for a full seven days of unrestrained rage once triggered — though it never got to run its course.

Dodged everything Genos threw at him and put him down with a casual backhand — proof he was a different tier of threat than anything Genos had faced before.
vs. Saitama — Ch. 11
Went full Carnage Mode trying to crush him. Obliterated by one punch — final proof to Dr. Genus that no amount of “artificial evolution” could ever match what Saitama got from breaking his own limiter.

His death is the data point that led Dr. Genus to formulate the "Limiter" theory. Saitama’s "hung up like modern art" line about Genos’s defeat became a recurring series joke. His name and berserker style reference the Buddhist "Ashura" demigod of war.
