D-Pad is a C-Class hero and member of the C-Class Hero Alliance, built entirely around hand-to-hand combat honed through extensive training rather than any special power. He's skilled enough to take on multiple armed opponents at once despite having no abilities to fall back on.
He fights regularly alongside fellow C-Class hero Funeral Suspenders, and the two have trained together long enough to develop combination attacks that only work with both of them present.
An average-height, athletic man whose face is entirely hidden behind a smooth white round mask with four circular eye-holes arranged in a cross, echoing a game controller’s directional pad. Wears a white hooded poncho-style cloak with a large dark cross on the chest, over dark tactical armor and metal forearm gauntlets.
Humble and polite — he takes time to wave to cheering kids — and self-aware enough to admit to his partner that it feels like they’re taking credit for a monster kill neither of them made. Dedicated to the job, quick to suggest getting back on patrol once a PR moment wraps up.
Climbed to Class C Rank 25 through a consistent, active record of daily conduct and achievements — solid enough to place him among the top tier of his class.
Assigned with Funeral Suspenders to guard the carcass of a massive dinosaur-like monster (implicitly killed by Saitama), politely acknowledging the crowd of cheering kids. Afterward, the pair sit on a park bench discussing their ranks and chances of promotion — unknowingly right next to Saitama himself, without realizing who he is — before D-Pad decides they should get back out on patrol.
Standard Class C physical conditioning, trained crowd management, and efficient patrol work capable of handling Wolf-level threats. Vulnerable to anything Tiger-level or above.
Guarding the Aftermath — Ch. 30 Bonus
Stood guard at the site of a fallen colossal monster, helping maintain public order — one of the quiet, unglamorous jobs that keeps the myth of the Association's omnipresent protection alive.
Minor: Chapter 30 Bonus Manga, "What Can’t Be Bought."
Funeral Suspenders: his long-standing patrol partner. Saitama: sat right next to him on a bench without any idea who he was talking to.
“It’s like we’re the ones who defeated it...”
“Shall we continue on patrol?”
His name and mask design are a direct pun on the D-pad (directional pad) of a game controller. At Rank 25, he’s considered top-tier within Class C and a realistic promotion candidate.
