Sweet Mask, real name Beaut, is the top-ranked A-Class hero and the most famous celebrity in the Hero Association — a working model, actor, and singer as well as a fighter strong enough to qualify for S-Class. He deliberately stays in A-Class rather than advance, a choice framed within the Association as a way of avoiding pressure on weaker heroes to rank up alongside him.
In public, he plays the role his stage name suggests: elegant, calm, polite, and endlessly charming to fans and reporters. Behind the scenes with other heroes, that persona drops entirely — he is arrogant, sharp-tongued, and openly contemptuous of heroes he judges unworthy of the title. The mask itself has a more personal origin: Sweet Mask was born looking monstrous, and grew to despise his own appearance so much that concealing his face became part of how he built his hero identity.
In human guise: an exceptionally handsome young man with sharp features, a lean muscular build, and silvery-blue hair often styled with bangs across his face, dressed in high-end designer clothing and jewelry. In his true monster form: heavily deformed and grotesque, with veiny cracked skin, bulging multi-pupil eyes, and inhumanly expanded musculature.
Narcissistic, ruthless, and authoritarian, with a self-described "hard heart" that shows zero mercy toward anyone he deems evil. Driven by a desperate obsession with being the "ideal hero" — strong, beautiful, and swiftly just — to compensate for the ugliness he despises in himself. His one real weakness is Cacophobia (a fear of ugliness) that leaves him physically paralyzed against sufficiently grotesque opponents. Eventually learns from Saitama that "what’s important isn’t looks... but who you are."
Originally a hideous human who hid his face behind a literal mask early in his hero career. Intense self-loathing over his appearance triggered a monsterization that granted him a "fake handsome face" and superhuman power, which he then rode to becoming the world’s top idol while secretly working as a lethal combatant.
Executes surviving Dark Matter Thieves captives after the Alien Invasion, declaring evil "must not live" — a moment that visibly disturbs Genos. During the Monster Association raid, kills the mind-controlling monster Super S and her brainwashed soldiers without hesitation, then is completely neutralized by his Cacophobia when facing the grotesque executive Fuhrer Ugly, taking a brutal beating. Later, while confessing his secret to Saitama at an amusement park, the two are interrupted by the monster Unpleasant Pierrot, who grows stronger by feeding on public attention. To save the crowd from a collapsing Ferris wheel, Sweet Mask fully transforms into his true monster form on live television and kills the clown — only for the public to immediately brand him a "freak" and a fugitive. Saitama alone calls him "actually cool" and lets him flee.

Neutralized purely by how hideous the monster was. Total defeat, saved only by other heroes stepping in — the fight that exposed his one real weakness.

Fought a clown monster that fed on crowd attention. Killed it, but only by revealing his true face to do it — a technical win that ended his career as "Handsome Kamen" for good.
