The Instructor is the teacher responsible for Rudo’s class inside the Sphere. He appears right at the beginning of the story, acting as an enforcer of the town's strict social rules. He is a typical adult of the "Heaven," fully believing that cleanliness is more important than anything else.

When Rudo arrives at school, the Instructor immediately singles him out. He isn't concerned with Rudo's well-being; instead, he harshly scolds the boy for handling "trash" and bringing scavenged items onto school grounds. To him, Rudo’s habit of collecting discarded objects isn't a hobby—it is a violation of public safety and decency.

His behavior sets the tone for how the rest of the class treats the protagonist. By openly criticizing Rudo in front of everyone, the Instructor validates the bullying from the other students. He makes it clear that in the Sphere, even authority figures will shun anyone who doesn't fit the mold of a "clean" citizen.

He is last seen during these early school scenes, remaining in the safety of the upper world. While he views himself as a proper educator, he ultimately fails to understand Rudo, pushing the boy further away from society before the tragic events of the first chapter unfold.
