Mosquito Girl

モスキート娘

Supporting One Punch Man

Mosquito Girl is a prototype artificial mutant created by Dr. Genus of the House of Evolution — a human-mosquito hybrid with control over large mosquito swarms, which she uses both to drain blood for sustenance and to repair her own injuries. Her body is largely exoskeletal and light enough for true flight, with hook-tipped limbs, digitigrade lower legs, hornet-striped bristles, and a mosquito-like head complete with a second pair of compound eyes and a shortened proboscis; after transforming into her stronger form, her markings sharpen and her bristles become rigid spines.

She regards humans and animals as prey to be toyed with, treating even life-or-death fights with an arrogant, playful cruelty, while showing a genuinely maternal side toward her mosquito swarm, referring to them as her "little ones." Her defeat at Saitama's hands — delivered as a single slap after she nearly kills Genos — marks the moment Genos becomes fixated on Saitama's true strength.

Base form: a slender, pale, insectoid humanoid woman with antennae, large black compound eyes, two pairs of translucent wings, black-and-yellow-striped limbs ending in hooked claws, and a proboscis-like horn. Empowered by blood, her skin darkens to red/black, her build turns more muscular, her hair whitens, and she sprouts additional spiked appendages. Post-defeat, she has a prosthetic left leg, a cheek bandage, and a mechanical blood tank on her back — now worn under a takoyaki-shop apron.

As a monster: arrogant and sadistic, mocking her prey and discarding her own mosquito swarm as “idiots” once they’ve served their purpose. These days, running the takoyaki stand, she’s described as “prickly when she’s hungry” and short-tempered with coworker Armored Gorilla.

Artificially created by Dr. Genus at the House of Evolution as a prototype combatant, with no biological family — only fellow House of Evolution creations as peers.

Invades City Z with a mosquito swarm draining blood from livestock and people. Genos engages her and initially holds his own, until her swarm delivers a massive blood transfusion that lets her overpower and nearly dismember him. Saitama, chasing down a single mosquito, intervenes and defeats her with one casual slap that sends her through a skyscraper — believed dead for a long stretch of the series, until a later bonus chapter (Ch. 190+) reveals she survived and now works Dr. Genus’s takoyaki stall, "Takoyaki no Ie," alongside Armored Gorilla.

Telepathic control over mosquito swarms within a 50km radius; rapid physical evolution (speed, strength, durability, near-instant regeneration) by absorbing blood her swarm collects; high-speed flight; claws sharp enough to cut cyborg plating. Without a blood supply, reduced to what Dr. Genus calls a “weak insect.”

vs. Genos — Ch. 5–6

A high-speed aerial fight that started even and tipped in her favor once she evolved mid-battle — Genos ended up incapacitated.

vs. Saitama — Ch. 6

Saitama stepped in to stop her from finishing Genos off. One slap ended her career as a Mysterious Being — and eventually led to her reform.

Major: Ch. 5, 6. Minor: Ch. 11 (flashback), 190 (bonus/takoyaki debut), 191 (cover). Mentioned only: Ch. 230, 234.

Dr. Genus: her creator, who still provides for her despite calling her just a “prototype.” Armored Gorilla: fellow House of Evolution creation and current bickering coworker. Genos: the hero she nearly destroyed. Saitama: the one who ended her monster career in a single slap.

“Ha ha ha! So fragile! Next time I’ll take your head!” — mocking Genos
“Don’t poke me all of a sudden! That hurt!” — to Armored Gorilla

Long assumed dead by readers until a bonus chapter confirmed her survival and career change. Her Japanese name literally translates to “Mosquito Daughter.”
