Biography
As the 38th son of the Emperor, Big Mom, Charlotte Newson is an officer in her infamous pirate crew. Yet, his most defining characteristic is his birthright as one of the Charlotte Decuplets—a group of ten siblings, five sons and five daughters, born at the same time. This familial bond dictates his role, his power, and his unwavering loyalty.
First Appearances
Newson and his nine siblings made their collective debut during the Whole Cake Island arc, first appearing in manga chapter 861 and later in anime episode 826.
Physical Appearance
Like his four identical brothers, Newson has purple hair and is almost always seen wearing a bowler hat. His green hat is the primary visual cue that sets him apart from the others. Notably, the initial anime broadcast accidentally swapped his identity with his brother, Nushi, an error that was later corrected for the English dub.
Allegiance and Purpose
Newson’s loyalty is absolute, directed entirely toward his mother and his family. The decuplets operate as a tight-knit unit, displaying fierce protectiveness, especially for their highly respected older brother, Katakuri. They were shown to be enraged and vengeful following his defeat.
Though his personality remains unexplored, Newson’s purpose is clear: he is a pillar of the Charlotte Family’s collective strength, a dedicated officer whose power is magnified tenfold when united with his siblings.

While Newson has no known individual Devil Fruit, he is an essential part of a formidable combined ability. His brother, Charlotte Nushi, consumed the Gocha Gocha no Mi (Jumble-Jumble Fruit), a Paramecia power that allows him to fuse with other people.
This ability's true potential is unleashed when Nushi merges with all nine of his decuplet siblings. Together, they form a single, towering warrior of immense power. In addition to this fusion, Newson and his brothers have been seen using individual scythes and bazookas in battle.
