Tank Lepanto is the commander of the Self-Defense Army in the Kingdom of Dressrosa. A physically imposing man, he is known for wielding a massive spiked iron ball attached to a chain in battle. For many years, he appeared to be a loyal servant of the Doflamingo regime, but this was a reluctant choice made to protect his family; in his heart, he remained dedicated to the former ruler, King Riku Dold III.

During the Dressrosa arc, he participated in the tournament at the Corrida Colosseum, fighting in Block B. Although he initially seemed to be fighting for the Donquixote Family, his run in the competition ended quickly when he was taken out by the underhanded tactics of Abdullah and Jeet. Once the chaos of the "Birdcage" began, he immediately dropped his facade, rallying the army to protect the citizens and buying time for Luffy to defeat Doflamingo.

Following the liberation of the country, Lepanto was reinstated as a high-ranking commander under the restored King Riku. He played a key security role during the Levely arc, escorting the royal family to the summit at Mary Geoise. He has since returned safely to Dressrosa, where he continues to serve as a guardian of the peace while the kingdom rebuilds.
