Flashy Flash

Flashy Flash is a slender, athletic young man with sharp, feminine features and long, straight silver-blonde hair that falls past his waist. He wears two star-shaped hairpins to keep his bangs out of his eyes, and his eyes are a sharp blue.

Hero Attire

A dark, skintight bodysuit reinforced with silver metallic plating on the chest, shoulders, forearms, and shins, worn under a large, flowing white cape fastened with two star-shaped brooches.

Stoic, arrogant, and meticulous, Flash values quality over quantity in everything from information to combat moves. He’s driven by a desire to be the fastest and strongest alive, but he also carries a quieter sense of duty to clean up the mess of his past with the Ninja Village.

His unmatched reaction time and refusal to buckle under fear (or divine temptation) are his greatest strengths. His narcissism is his greatest weakness — it blinds him to the true scale of Saitama’s power, which he keeps rationalizing away as "flukes." He believes that anyone with great power must never expect someone to save them, and despite his ego, he’s shown a begrudging respect for Speed-o’-Sound Sonic and Blast, willing to coordinate with others when the threat is serious enough.

The Ninja Village

Flash was raised in the Ninja Village, a secret mountain facility that ran brutal experiments on children to create elite assassins. He belonged to the graduating "Final 44" class alongside Speed-o’-Sound Sonic.

The Massacre

Fifteen years before the current story, Flash reportedly wiped out most of the village to end its cycle of cruelty — sparing only Sonic.

Pre-Hero Career

He worked as an independent assassin before joining the Hero Association, rising directly into S-Class on combat ability alone.

Alien Invasion

Flash backed up the ground-level S-Class team during the defense of City A.

The Monster Association Raid

Deep underground, he ran into his former village-mates Hellfire Flame and Gale Wind, who had monsterized specifically to try to outpace him — he beat both simultaneously in a single subterranean clash. After his sword, Instakill, broke, he got stuck wandering the labyrinth with Saitama and the monster Manako (Oculette). During that stretch he watched Saitama’s reflexes up close and, rather than accepting what he’d seen, decided Saitama needed him as a teacher.

Meeting Blast

Deep underground, Flash and Saitama touched a mysterious cube and were briefly contacted by "God." The No. 1 hero Blast rescued them, teleporting the group to the surface.

The Surface Battle

On the surface, Flash fought a three-way, subsonic battle against Platinum Sperm and an evolving Garou. He held his own for a while, but without Instakill he was the first of the three to fall.

Post-War: The Great One’s Return

Flash later met with Blast, Saitama, and Genos to discuss the threat of "God" and the mysterious cubes, and learned that Void — the Ninja Village’s founder — had woken up from a fifteen-year hibernation and was hunting the Village’s survivors. Reuniting with Sonic to test his progress led to an ambush by the Tennin, a squad of elite ninjas from their old academy. During the fight with Void, Flash and Sonic were both nearly lost to a divine illusion conjured from their happiest childhood memories, before Blast snapped them out of it.

Superhuman Speed

His defining trait — he moves fast enough that time seems to stop for everyone else. Even elite ninjas find his speed overwhelming.

Instakill (瞬殺丸)

His signature katana, used for rapid-fire slashing combos.

Flashy Slash / Wind Blade Kick / Flashy Fists

A strike faster than most opponents can perceive; a high-speed aerial kick capable of decapitating monsters; and a flurry of punches thrown in a fraction of a second.

Dragon Thrust Kick

A heavy piercing kick, used notably against Sonic.

Flowing Shadow Step

An advanced movement technique that leaves afterimages behind him.

Tactical Intelligence

A genius-level mind for speed-based combat, sharp enough to deduce the location of the Ninja Village’s surviving remnants.

vs. Hellfire Flame & Gale Wind — Ch. 95–97

Two former village-mates monsterized specifically to try to outpace him. Destroyed both with a single, synchronized strike — proof he could solo multiple Dragon-level threats at once.

vs. Platinum Sperm & Garou — Ch. 155–156

A subsonic three-way melee that lit up the sky. Flash was the first to fall as the other two evolved past his limits — the fight that drew the line between high S-Class and whatever Garou and Platinum Sperm were becoming.

vs. Saitama (Testing) — Ch. 194

Tried to test Saitama's reflexes at Hero Association HQ. Saitama dodged without trying, and Flash just wrote it off as a fluke — his delusion about Saitama, fully cemented.

vs. Speed-o'-Sound Sonic — Ch. 198–200

A reunion duel with his childhood rival, half trying to kill each other and half reminiscing. Ended in a stalemate — proof Sonic had gotten strong enough that Flash needed his "Absolute Techniques" just to keep up.

Speed-o’-Sound Sonic

His childhood friend and lifelong rival. Flash calls him a "stalker," but underneath the mockery is a deep bond forged by surviving the Village together — in the Village, Sonic was the only person Flash could actually talk to, and Sonic helped him even when it cost him nothing to walk away. Flash has said he intends to "be present" for Sonic’s death, which is about as close as he gets to admitting how much he cares.

Saitama

Flash views him as a "handy but unpolished" asset and has decided, against all evidence, that Saitama needs him as a teacher. Saitama calls him "Toolong Bangs"; Flash calls Saitama "Bald Cape."

Blast

Flash respects Blast’s power and coordinates with him to investigate "God" and the remnants of the Ninja Village — though he’s not above calling Blast "too soft" for hesitating to kill Void.

Manako (Oculette)

A monster Flash used as a portable flashlight during the underground raid, treated with the same dismissive authority he gives everyone.

Void (The Great One)

The Ninja Village’s founder and Flash’s ultimate nemesis — the man he’s determined to finally put down for good.

Genos

Flash sees Genos as Saitama’s "lap-dog." Genos, in turn, is fiercely protective of Saitama and constantly clashes with Flash over his arrogance toward his master.

His insulting nickname "Toolong Bangs" comes from King, who coined it completely by accident during their introduction. His white cape is fully waterproof and stays spotless no matter the environment. He insists he values quality of information over quantity — despite once sitting through four hours of Genos lecturing him about Saitama. Instakill was one of the few things Flash kept from the Ninja Village’s destruction; after it broke during the Monster Association raid, he set out to find a legendary blade to replace it.
