Hammerhead is a Class B criminal and the leader of the Paradise Group, a terrorist organization built around the demand that people shouldn't be forced to work — its stated goal is a "utopia" where the unemployed receive full financial support regardless. A large man standing over two meters tall and weighing more than 200 kilograms, he has a long record of violent offenses even before founding the group.
His most distinctive trait is a skull several times thicker than a normal human's, dense enough to shrug off blades and blunt trauma that would kill most people outright — a durability that's saved his life more than once. It's also what let him survive an encounter that wiped out the rest of the Paradise Group: when Speed-o'-Sound Sonic was hired to defend the wealthy Zeniru, Sonic killed every member of the group except Hammerhead.
A gargantuan, completely bald man with a prominent horizontal scar across the bridge of his nose. As a Paradiser, wore a stolen high-tech black battle suit with heavy plating and orange flame patterning; in his reformed era, a standard business suit while job-hunting.
Defined early on by an extreme aversion to work and a bloated sense of entitlement, founding the Paradisers to force a world that supports people who refuse to be employed. Boisterous and prone to grandiose speeches, but with a real self-preservation instinct that kicks in the moment a threat outclasses him — and, after his defeat, a genuine (if frantic) attempt to go straight.
A notorious street brawler before founding the Paradisers, once hospitalizing twenty opponents in a single fight. Stole a batch of experimental "Power Battle Suits" from a shadowy group called "The Organization" and used them to arm a small terrorist cell of fellow bald men.
Leads the Paradisers in a violent assault on City F, targeting tycoon Zeniru’s tower and easily beating Mumen Rider and other responders. Zeniru’s hired ninja, Speed-o’-Sound Sonic, slaughters the rest of his crew and tries to finish Hammerhead with a kunai to the skull — which fails to penetrate his freakishly thick bone. Fleeing into the woods, he runs into Saitama (mistaking him for a fellow bald Paradiser), attacks him, and has his battle suit destroyed with a single strike, leaving him naked and terrified. Later spotted job-hunting in City F, apparently making a genuine attempt at honest work despite his record.
Abnormally thick skull: survives direct blunt and stabbing trauma to the head that would kill anyone else. Stolen battle suit: boosted his strength enough to uproot trees and throw house-sized boulders, with enhanced speed and durability. Without it, he’s slow and untrained, relying purely on size and durability.
vs. City F Heroes — Ch. 12–13
Led the Paradisers in a destructive rampage just to draw local authorities out. Won, but at the cost of massive property damage.
vs. Speed-o'-Sound Sonic — Ch. 13
Ran into the ninja in the forest near Zeniru Tower. Total defeat — his entire organization was dismantled on the spot, and he only survived a kunai to the head by pure biological luck.
vs. Saitama — Ch. 14
Tried to kill Saitama after getting lectured by him. Saitama destroyed his suit and let him live — the moment that scared Hammerhead straight out of terrorism for good.
Major: Ch. 12, 13, 14. Minor: Ch. 19. Mentioned only: Ch. 30, 38, 116.
The Paradisers: his subordinates, mostly treated as tools for his cause. Saitama: initially mistaken for an ally, ultimately the one who scared him straight. Speed-o’-Sound Sonic: an assassin he views with pure terror. Zeniru: the tycoon he targeted. Snek: the Class A hero monitoring his attempted reform.
“We refuse to work!”
“Let those who want to work support everyone else!”
One of the few B-class wanted human criminals shown in real detail, rather than a monster. His battle suits were the series’ first hint at the existence of "The Organization."
