Slugerous

ナメクジャラス

Supporting One Punch Man

Slugerous was an artificial mutant created by Dr. Genus at the House of Evolution — a slug-like humanoid with a black-spotted torso and head, given arms, legs, and a crude face. His one notable power was telepathy, sharp enough that he could sense the moment fellow House of Evolution creation Kamakyuri died elsewhere in the city.

He was one of six creations — alongside Beast King, Armored Gorilla, Kamakyuri, Ground Dragon, and Frog-Man — sent to abduct Saitama for Dr. Genus's research. Slugerous and Frog-Man confronted Saitama and Genos outside their apartment, but neither got the chance to show what they could do: both were killed by a stray slash from their own ally Beast King, who was aiming for Saitama and hit them instead.

A humanoid with gastropod traits — pale, smooth skin and a pair of long, retractable eyestalks on his bald head. Wears a simple dark tactical harness/vest.

Confident and somewhat arrogant about his specialized senses, proud of his “evolved” status, and fully loyal to Dr. Genus and the House of Evolution’s ideology that engineered beings have made humanity obsolete.

Originally a human who underwent artificial evolution through Dr. Genus’s genetic engineering at the House of Evolution. No family or pre-story history is given — he treats his fellow creations as his only peers.

Dispatched with a five-member strike team (alongside Beast King, Armored Gorilla, Ground Dragon, and Frog-Man) to capture Saitama. Stationed atop Saitama’s apartment building with Frog-Man while Beast King and Armored Gorilla engage Genos and Saitama below. When Saitama dodges Beast King’s enraged “Lion Slash: Meteor Power,” the stray slashes hit Slugerous and Frog-Man instead, killing Slugerous instantly as friendly fire.

Claims telepathic ability to sense targets and communicate at range, plus enhanced senses from his eyestalks. Never gets to demonstrate any physical combat feats — his durability proved low enough that a single stray attack from a teammate was fatal.

vs. Saitama — Ch. 8

Joined the group ambush on Saitama's apartment, using telepathy to track his movements while Beast King attacked. Died as collateral damage — proof of just how far below top-tier strength his own organization actually was.

Major: Ch. 8. Mentioned only: Ch. 9 (his death reported to Dr. Genus).

Dr. Genus: his creator, to whom he was fully loyal. Beast King: his direct superior, and unwittingly the cause of his death. Frog-Man: his partner during the raid, killed in the same incident. Saitama: his intended target.

“I used telepathy to find your weakness!”

One of the few named characters in the series killed by a teammate rather than a hero or rival monster — and considered disposable by the House of Evolution’s higher ranks even before that.
