Snek — officially Sneck (スネック) in Japanese, rendered as "Snek" in the Viz English translation — is an A-Class hero known by the hero alias Biting Snake Fist. Tall and seriously composed, with an angular face, sharp eyes, and spiky black hair, he wears a snakeskin suit with a black shirt and white tie.
He's best known for conducting the welcome seminar for the National Superhero Registry Test, the exam Saitama and Genos both took to join the Hero Association, and continues to show up as a recurring background hero across several later story arcs.
A slender, athletic man of average height with sharp features and spiky, swept-back dark hair. Wears a business suit with a snakeskin pattern day-to-day, and a white-and-black kung fu uniform with a snake motif for tournament fighting. Later gains a specialized battle suit made from actual snake-monster hide.
Starts out arrogant and rank-obsessed, viewing promising rookies as threats to be “crushed” before they can surpass him. Repeated humbling defeats (by Saitama, later by Suiryu) push him toward genuine introspection and, eventually, real courage — he chooses to return and fight rather than flee when the Monster Association attacks the Super Fight tournament.
A long-tenured professional hero, established enough to run orientation lectures for new recruits. Built a reputation for “gatekeeping” — sabotaging fast-rising rookies to protect his own Rank 38 spot. A master of the Snakebite Fist martial arts style.
Lectures Saitama and Genos during hero certification, then tries to ambush Saitama afterward to "crush the new guy" — and is knocked out with one punch. Fights the Deep Sea King at the City J shelter and loses. Enters the Super Fight tournament, beats Benpats, then loses immediately to Suiryu. When the Monster Association attacks the tournament grounds, he initially retreats but returns with Lightning Max to help Suiryu against Goketsu’s Three Crows, successfully holding them off with his new battle suit. Later approached by the Neo Heroes for recruitment, but remains skeptical.
Snakebite Fist: slithery, unpredictable strikes from unexpected angles, paired with a “Coiling Defense” parry. Strong enough to easily beat Tiger-level threats, but consistently outclassed by Demon- and Dragon-level monsters. His snake-hide battle suit resists claws, fangs, and beaks.

Saitama: an early target of sabotage; later, Snek recognizes him as something beyond human understanding. Suiryu: the rival who flattened him but eventually earned his respect after Snek risked his life for him. Lightning Max: a fellow Class A hero and regular fighting partner when outmatched.
“I’m the lowest-ranking hero... in Class A!”
“I wish I were that strong... but reality is disappointing.”
Has held Class A, Rank 38 for the whole series despite major shakeups elsewhere. The only Class A hero shown personally running Hero Association orientation lectures.
