Stinger is an A-Class hero ranked 10th (later 11th) within the Hero Association. He wields a specialized spear named "Bamboo Shoot," which he uses to deliver rapid, piercing thrusts. He is confident and eager for fame, often jumping into battles alone to boost his popularity rankings.

During the Deep Sea King arc, Stinger arrives at the scene to confront the invasion of Seafolk. He single-handedly fights off a large group of the monsters, displaying impressive skill with his "Gigantic Drill Stinger" technique. He defeats the wave of enemies and celebrates prematurely, believing the threat is over while a crowd cheers him on.

His victory is short-lived when the Deep Sea King suddenly appears behind him. Before Stinger can react, the monster strikes him down with a single blow, knocking him unconscious. Although defeated, Stinger survives the encounter and is later seen recovering in the hospital, reading manga with Lightning Max.
